I design for the romantic, the dreamer, and the wanderer.

I take nature’s beauty and make it relevant to contemporary fashion. An ethereal, bohemian vibe runs through all of my design work. I stay true to this by using natural dyes, the incorporation of real flowers, and an earthy color palette.

The clothing industry is the second largest polluter behind big oil. Americans send over 10 million tons of clothing waste to landfills each year. Taking a sustainable approach to reducing fabric waste, I have created a body of work using recycled silk dresses. The dresses started off white, a blank canvas for my dye processes and beadwork. The pieces are given new life through the beauty of natural color and intricate beading detail.

My latest collection, Dawn to Dusk, is also inspired by nature as well as the dreamy colors that run through the skyline. It incorporates natural dyes from plants and flowers. Each dress is unique and completely one of a kind. I use dip dyeing, shibori, and natural materials such as flowers and sticks to create resists and imprints during the dye process. The dresses are layered with color that reflects on the incorporation of iridescent quartz stones and beading. The colors run and bleed together to create a watercolor effect throughout each piece.

After graduation from The Univerisity of Wisconin-Madison May 14, 2016 I will be moving to Kearney, Nebraska to work as a product development design assoicate for Buckle. I will be developing and desiging tops for their private label brands Gimmicks by BKE, BKE Boutique, Gilded Intent, BKE and BKE Red. I also have a background in sales and visual merchandising.
